Our Story

From a love of Mexican street food to the heart of Malate.

Born from a love of real flavors.

La Elotes started as a simple idea — what if Manila had a spot that brought real Mexican street food culture to the table? Not a watered-down version, but the real thing: charred elotes slathered in crema, birria tacos with rich consommé, mangonadas that hit just right on a hot afternoon.

Rooted in Malate and growing into Taft, La Elotes found its community one taco at a time. The name says it all — corn is where it started. Elotes, the beloved Mexican street corn, was the first dish that put us on the map.

Today, with nearly 9,000 followers on Instagram and a loyal local following, La Elotes has become more than a food spot. It's a place to slow down, gather, and eat something that actually means something.

Our Food Philosophy

Slow Food Culture

Food is not fast — it's a reason to stay, linger, and connect. Every dish at La Elotes is made with care, not speed.

Made Fresh Daily

No cutting corners. Every tortilla, every drink, every topping is prepared fresh. That's why regulars keep coming back.

Community First

From Malate to Taft, La Elotes lives and breathes in its community. Every regular customer is part of the family.

Five Things We
Never Compromise On

01

Authentic Mexican Flavors

We draw from the rich tradition of Mexican street food — from elotes and birria to chamoy and horchata. Every dish respects its roots.

02

Fresh Ingredients, Every Time

No frozen shortcuts. Fresh produce, daily-made sauces, and hand-prepped ingredients are non-negotiable in our kitchen.

03

A Space for Everyone

Whether you're coming in solo for horchata, with your barkada for tacos, or on a date night — La Elotes has a seat for you.

04

Bold, Unapologetic Taste

We don't tone things down. Our flavors are bold — smoky, saucy, citrusy, and alive. This is food that makes you feel something.

05

Good Energy, Always

The vibe matters as much as the food. La Elotes is a place where good food and good energy are always on the menu.
